I'm still around! I promise! I've just been enjoying my summer! A lot of weddings, birthdays, and fun activites going on! (And a lot of temptation)
I've been a little too relaxed, I think. I'm still on meal plans and working out 6 days a week. I think I've been finding too many excuses to "celebrate" and have too much to eat.
I've been jogging at the end of every workout. I jog for about 15 minutes and that gets me to about a mile or mile and a half, depending on how fast I'm moving.
My 30th birthday is coming up in September. I'm asking my friends and family for cash donations, because I want to get my personal trainer certificate. I want be a personal trainer for extra motivation and some extra cash! I think I will continue to be successful if I even have one person that I'm working out with a few times a week. I need to stay motivated!
I'm still tossing around the idea of making a Facebook page for my blog. I think I would be much better at updating! I have tons of funny little things I see and notice while I'm working out and I could update my status really fast!
I actually have some time tonight and I'm going to try to catch up on some blog reading! Wish me luck!

Jogging and Treadmills
I've been trying to jog more these days, but it's bee so hot that I've ot been going outside to do it. Last week I tried jogging on the treadmill. It was the first time I ever attempted to do anything more than walking on the treadmill. I was really surprised when it was easy.
I've been trying to jog for about 15-20 minutes at the end of my regular workouts. I am able to set the speed between 4.8 and 5.2 and maintain it! I never thought I would like jogging. Two and half years ago I would have told you that you were insane for suggesting jogging as a form of working out.
As an added bonus to all of this treadmill jogging, the treadmills have tvs with cable. I o'nt have cable, but the treadmill does. I've been able to catch up on shows I've misses since I cancelled my cable. My gym is also 24 hours so I might start going to late night walks just to cathc up on primetime shows!

You know you're dedicated when....
You know you are dedicated to working out when you go to the gym in pants that are 2 sizes too big and a dirty tank top because all of your other workout clothes are in the washer! Yup, that was me today. I was not thinking when I threw in my laundry and I had nothing clean, or dry, to wear! I has to put together whatever I could! I looked like a bag lady.
Oh well, worse has happened! I'm just glad that I have the will power to get to the gym no matter what.

Little late on the update!
I forgot to do an update for June! Whoops!
It was nothing too spectacular. I did lose 5 pounds from the beginning of June to the end of June. I'm pumped about that. My new weight loss total is 133 pounds. I'm very close to my goal. Around 20 pounds to go.
I totally forgot to have Janelle take my measurements, but they have not been changing over the past few months anyway. I'm not too concerned about it right now.
I'm still following my meal plans and I'm continuing to workout. My weight loss has slowed down, and I'm not too concerned about it either. I know I'm going to get there sooner than later.
On another note.....I've been jogging a lot lately. Janelle and I go with her dogs. We jog for about 3 to 5 minutes and then walk for a few. We just keep repeating that for about an hour. It works fine for me, because I've never wanted to run, ever!
Well, today at the gym I wanted to jog. I was going to do the same thing we do when we jog outside, but on the treadmill. I've never jogged on the treadmill and today was the day to try. Anyway, I ended up joggig for 15 minutes straight at 4.8. I was in shock that I ws able to jog for that long! I probably could hve jogged longer, but I needed to get home and get some things done.
I think I'm starting to enjoy jogging....shocking!
Ok, I've been bad about the blogging. Thank you all for continuing to read and comment. Sorry that I don't always get back to everyone. I do read other blogs, but it's hard to comment all the time. I read on the run! I'm thinking about starting a facebook page. I can update that a lot easier. Any thoughts?
