I compare myself too often to other women, getting jealous of their weight loss and how great they look, no extra skin etc etc. But I keep telling myself we are all different, we all lose differently, our bodies react differently. It's a hard pill to swallow but I just have to accept it, I can't change it or wave the magic wand. Its hard for me not to look in the mirror some days and tear myself apart for the places that aren't losing or toning up fast enough but what's that gonna do? I just remind myself of how far I have come, and what my body looked like 13 months ago vs now. Patience is key, I want things now or yesterday.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08808468459652227523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558839779732936858.post-35316690465548012592011-07-26T12:39:24.150-04:002011-07-26T12:39:24.150-04:00I agree with morgan!! Doesn't mean you are a bad person, doesn't mean you are a negative person, it means you are human. for whatever reason, we are always our own worst critic. We pass judgement on ourselves more than any living being. I don't really know if there is a way to 'get over it' probably control it. But again, like Morgan, I haven't figured it out yet.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558839779732936858.post-88582545525162895382011-07-26T12:32:16.137-04:002011-07-26T12:32:16.137-04:00It may be ridiculous, but it is also pretty common...It may be ridiculous, but it is also pretty common. I do it ALL THE TIME. Despite my husband's constant reminder that I can't compare myself to other people, because they are not me. It is really frustrating and I haven't been able to overcome it yet. Let me know if you do!Morganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09594251545216490423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-558839779732936858.post-91525000728930914052011-07-26T08:59:55.226-04:002011-07-26T08:59:55.226-04:00We all do this... and I think it happens more once...We all do this... and I think it happens more once you start changing yourself or working really hard. I think once you start having more confidence you actually start working against yourself and finding new people to compare yourself to that you wouldn't have before. I try to compare myself to the previous "me". I just try to look better and work harder than I did in the previous month. I'm not sure if that helps at all, but I know when I look back on what I've done to make my body look better and be healthier I don't worry so much about other girls.Janellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16003695077864415451noreply@blogger.com
